Where remote communications is not needed, the more economical USC-II is the best option for distribution line application and as a cost effective alternative to repairing older control. With many of the advanced features that are in the UVR-1 such as bi-directional power flow capabilities, “first house protection”, and event and data logging, the dimensionally interchangeable USC-II should be the answer. Summer 2007 brings another FIRST to control event datalogging by the use of USB flash drive datapak technology.
The UVR-1 LTC is also available for both new and retrofit applications on three phase power transformers with load tap changers. This single control can replace the older analog controls or multiple “relays” previously used. ICMI is also able to offer turnkey change out, installation, and start-up support with an experienced field service engineer.
ICMI offers the URC-II URC-IIA, and URC-III- T/S Recloser Controlwhich can operate all of the following model reclosers: ABB - OCR, G&W- Viper, and Cooper: RE, VRE, RXE, VSA, VSO, VWE, VWE27, NOVA. The unit with its powder metal enclosure adds popular time-delay curves to the standard hydraulic recloser curves and includes SCADA communications.
ICMI also tests and repairs most brands of regulator controls and stock retrofit upgrade boards to enhance performance at minimum cost.
